Using Idaho’s Educational Entities Tax Credit
Maximize your tax dollars
The State of Idaho offers an income tax credit opportunity to taxpayers who give to schools or educational organizations like MCS through the Idaho State Educational Entities Tax Credit.
How it Works
Am I eligible for the tax credit?
Make a gift to Music Conservatory of Sandpoint
State educational entities tax credits are worth 50% of your gift, with a maximum tax credit of $1,000 for married couples filing jointly or $500 for single filers. So, joint filers would receive the $1,000 maximum credit for a $2,000 gift, $500 for a $1,000 gift, and so on.
In addition, check eligibility for charitable income tax deductions on both your federal and state tax returns, which could further reduce taxes as an itemized deduction.
*Please refer to legislature.idaho.gov & consult with your individual/family tax preparer to confirm eligibility. Idaho Statute 63-3029A. NOTE-the credit is limited to Idaho taxes paid, so credit is not refundable.
MCS uses your generous donation to enhance its classes and programs for children, impacting the cultural vitality of our town. The school's commitment to creative placemaking and excellence in the arts is making a difference in Sandpoint.
Thank you for your support of our students with a monthly, annual or long-term gift. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
